Mobarak Hossain Khan comes of a family, which produced a galaxy of music composers of world repute. Mr. Khan is the third son of Ustad Ayet Ali Khan, the great musician of the sub-continent. 1. A member of the BCS (Information) Service.
2. Joined Radio Bangladesh as Programme Producer in 1962. Served as Programme Organizer, Assistant Regional Director in different Radio Stations and shouldered varied responsibilities (1962 – 1972)
3. An expert programme planner, producer, organizer and a good public relations officer.
4. Served as Director, External Service Director, Commercial Service Director of Administration Regional Director-in-charge of the then Radio Pakistan, Rangpur Head of the Department of Radio Publications Director, Department of Music Regional Director, Chittagong and Rajshahi stations of Radio Bangladesh. He also concurrently held the charge of the reply Radio station of Rangamati (1972 – 1993)
5. After liberation organized the Directorate General of Radio Bangladesh single handedly.
